This is the type of building used in producting salt. The museum was closed. Only tourists are out today.
We made a terrific effort to honor Carnivale/Mardi Gras. We drove to Petrosino for their Carnivale event. We had grave doubts about the existence of this event since we could find no signs. But alas, we have this picture to secure the image of the event.
This is it. Yotam took this picture of Greg and I. No one was riding the carnivale rides. No one seemed to be at the dance. There were one or two tents that had some kind of food but basically, a road trip to nothing on the last day of the Carnivale in the seasonally unusual rainy weather. We did have a wonderful meal in town and truly lovely people surprised to see tourists at this time of year.
I finally got to see Irene's blog! How cool. Liz
